Introduction

  • Jobwork is when a company sends its raw materials or items to a vendor or internal team to process, assemble, or make products, and later receives the finished goods, semi-finished goods, or scrap back.

  • The Jobwork Module helps to:

  1. Track material issued and received
  2. Control excess issue or receipt
  3. Monitor pending quantities
  4. Maintain accurate stock records

Types Of Jobwork

  1. Scrap to Raw Material - Convert leftover or scrap material back into usable raw material.
  2. Raw Material to Finished Goods - Use raw materials to make complete finished products.
  3. Raw Material to Finished Goods (BOM) - Make finished products from raw materials according to a specific Bill of Materials (BOM).
  4. Item / Product Process - Process an item or product without following a BOM, like polishing, coating, or simple manufacturing steps.
  5. Item / Product Process (BOM) - Process an item or product following a BOM to produce the final product.
  6. Assembly Jobwork - Combine multiple components or parts to make a finished product.
  7. Pre-defined Jobwork - Jobwork done based on a pre-defined plan or template, usually with set items, quantities, and operations.
